I see far too many creatives extending their videos with jarring indications when it occurs, in my opinion this breaks immersion. Those extra frames cause a noticeable jitter. Take some time to hone your editing skills and learn how to make it seamless. It does require some finesse and good judgement but it is possible. Full in-depth tutorial on the next post. To add to this post, extensions do have limitations, let me list them and the solutions: 🔴Limitation - Video quality will degrade over multiple extensions. So if you extend a clip and then take that same clip and extend it again, you will notice degradation. Bytedance really needs to fix this. 🟢Solution - Use Topaz Astra Starlight 2.5 and upscale to 1080/4k. From experimenting, the upscaler can enhance detail across the entire video, making degradation less noticeable. Additional expense for better quality. ----- 🔴Limitation - Contrast/exposure and overall colors can adjust with extensions. 🟢Solution - No shortcut here. Learn color grading and do color matching in your video editor to get it as close as possible to the previous clip to make it less noticeable. ----- 🔴Limitation - Audio can blend and sound much better if you put in extra effort. 🟢Solution - When you do a seamless extend, overlapping audio can sound strange. Being strategic with fading audio or even adding additional ambient audio can make the transition less noticeable.
